Candles have always been one of my favorite little luxuries. With each change of season, I would often bring home a beautiful candle to put the finishing touch on a room to make it feel warmer, calmer, and more inviting.

In 2017, I began paying much closer attention to the ingredients in the products I brought into my home. I wanted a candle whose ingredients met my standards without sacrificing the complex fragrance, beautiful vessel, and atmosphere I loved.

So I began experimenting. After hundreds of trials, plenty of spilled wax, and more failures than I care to count, Carmel Candle Lab was born.

​

Today, our candles and home fragrances are handcrafted to evoke the places I know and love around Carmel and the Monterey Peninsula. I think of each fragrance as a small olfactive vignette—a way to bring a little of this extraordinary landscape into your home.
