Mission San Carlos Borromeo de Carmelo, or Carmel Mission as we call it today, is one of the historical anchor points of our community. It is arguably one of the most beautiful settings on the Monterey Peninsula and likely the most beautiful mission in California. The Carmel Mission is also a National and State Historic Landmark.

Growing up in Carmel, the Mission always fascinated me. As a child, whenever I would visit the Mission, I distinctly remember the way it smelled. It smelled ancient, like being in a different world, in a different time. When I would go into the church itself, it smelled of wafting, sweet incense and old woods. I wanted this fragrance to reflect the mystery and the primitive beauty of the Mission.

With top notes of orange oil and camphor, sweet middle notes of vanilla bean, clove, patchouli and cedar, and grounding base notes of frankincense and myrrh.

Contains essential oils of clove leaf from Indonesia, patchouli from Indonesia, cedarwood from the United States, olibanum resinoid from France, labdanum from Spain, black pepper from India, myrrh from Somalia, fir needle from Canada, orange from the United States and Brazil, guaiacwood from Paraguay, and sage from Albania.

When warmed daily, the fragrance will last for about one month.
