Carmel is home to some of the most charming cottages in America. Many of these cottages look like they came straight out of a fairytale. Growing up in Carmel, we would visit friends who lived in one of these fairytale cottages and I remember going into her home one Fall day and it smelled so wonderful! She was a baker, and made many delectable treats. Among them were croissants and spice cake. The smell was nothing short of heavenly!
 
I have created this candle to try and capture that moment, the aromatic smell of freshly baked goods, the feeling of cozy warmth by the fire and her always welcoming demeanor made her home one of my favorite places to visit. 
 
We start with notes of freshly baked croissants. We follow that with notes of warm baking spices, including nutmeg, anise and cinnamon. We add to that a touch a honeyed orange and vanilla. This is not a sweet fragrance, but it is extremely realistic, the croissant really shines through, and the baking spices lend warmth and that special fall feeling. This is a really good one, I'm in love!
